Introduction

Check a Mexican voter ID with INE. REST/JSON responses say whether the credential is current, with the elector key, districts, and validity date INE has on record.

INECheck is a REST API for Mexican voter IDs (credencial para votar). Send the identifiers printed on the back of the credential and get INE's answer: whether the credential is current, plus the elector key, districts, and validity date INE has on record. Use it in onboarding, KYC, lending, or any flow that accepts an INE as identification.

What you can do

One account for INE, CURP, and RFC

INECheck runs on the same platform as RFCCheck and CURPCheck. Your account, API keys, plan, and balance are shared, so the key you use here also calls the CURP endpoints on curpcheck.com and the RFC endpoints on rfccheck.com.

Conventions

  • All endpoints are POST, accept JSON, and return JSON.
  • Base URL: https://inecheck.com/v1
  • Authentication: pass x-api-key on every request.
  • Identifiers are digits, sent as strings so leading zeroes survive. Shorter values are left-padded with zeroes, as INE's own form instructs.
